Austrian tasting dinner

Intimate, informal gathering to celebrate some of our Austrian producers arriving in New York: Helmut Gangl, Sighardt Donabaum, and Adolf Fuchs. They were pleased to be joined by Roger Dagorn, Charles Carlini, Warner Strejan (now the sommelier at rm), and of course Rick Moonen. Rick designed the menu to match with the impressive whites and dessert wines of these dynamic producers. Aromatic fish dishes were paired with the dry, aromatic dinner wines and seared fois gras with apple and a tangy chocolate tart perfectly balanced the sweet dessert wines. Another perfect pairing!
