Soil: Red, compact soil, typical of the Chianti region.
Vinification & Aging: Fermented in stainless steel tanks for 15 days. During maceration, the cap was punched down daily to extract polyphenols. The wine aged in Slovenian oak casks for 6 months followed by an additional 4 months aging in the bottle prior to release
Production: 500 cases
Alcohol: 13%
Description: Deep ruby red with shades of purple. Hints of spice, intense and fruity. Suitable for medium term aging of 6-8 years.
Food Pairing: Strong red meats, game and cold cuts.
